Dr. Kaushal is an assistant professor of ophthalmology and director of the vitreoretinal service. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he received his doctorate in biochemistry with the Nobel Laureate, Dr. Khorana. He completed his residency at Doheny Eye Institute/ USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. Following two fellowships – one in vitreoretinal surgery at Barnes Retina Institute and one in medical retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London – Dr. Kaushal joined the UF faculty in 2002. Dr. Kaushal is board certified in ophthalmology. His clinical and surgical interests include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, inherited retinal disease, pediatric vitreoretinal disorders, inflammatory retina diseases and macular disorders. |
